About

Considered sound, for the places people gather.

Spiraria exists because great spaces deserve great sound — and because the way most venues get their music is broken.

Walk into most hotels, shops or studios and the music is an afterthought: a phone plugged into a speaker, a personal streaming account that isn't even licensed for business, or a generic playlist that could belong to anyone. It works, until it doesn't — and it never really sounds like you.

We started Spiraria to fix both problems at once. Every track in our catalogue is original and curated — not pulled from a shared stock library. It's made to work in real spaces: unobtrusive when it should be, memorable when it matters.

Because we own what we make, we license it to you directly. There are no collecting-society fees on our music and no grey areas about what you're allowed to play. You get sound that fits your brand and paperwork that keeps you covered — anywhere in the world.

Whether you press play on our web radio or commission a sonic identity of your own, you're getting music with intent behind every note.

License-free music

Using Spotify in your business without a license is illegal.

Consumer streaming and personal radio accounts are licensed for personal use only. Use them commercially without the right license and you can be liable for fees — or fines. Original, directly-licensed music removes the problem entirely.

The problem: commercial music licensing

Most commercial music carries two rights — the composition and the recording. When you play it in public, collecting societies expect to be paid for both, typically through annual per-venue tariffs. Consumer apps like Spotify, Apple Music or a personal radio subscription explicitly forbid commercial use in their terms — so they don't cover you at all.

Enforcement is real: societies employ inspectors, and unlicensed public performance can lead to back-payments and fines.

Names shown are examples of well-known collecting societies; obligations vary by country. This is general information, not legal advice.

The solution: original music, licensed directly to you.

Our catalogue is curated in-house and not registered with any collecting society. We license it to you directly. That means one clear agreement, zero society tariffs on our music, and playback that's 100% legal — anywhere in the world.

A commercial usage license

Clear, written permission to play the music publicly in your venue for the term of your plan.

A track list

Documentation of the original works you're playing — useful proof that nothing is licensed through a collecting society.

Peace of mind

If an inspector ever asks, your license confirmation and track list are proof — and we're a direct contact away to confirm it.
